Somethings bugging me...
On a recent trip to the Missouri Botanical Garden I was able to snap a few shots of some insects - generally I don't like bugs (especially when they are in my house!) but getting up close with my camera often affords me the opportunity to see them in new ways. Enjoy!

Baby Shower pics
Welcome Justin Anthony...
Some dear friends of ours had a baby last Wednesday - her pregnancy was frought with troubles and worry and the delivery was tough to say the least. Thankfully both she and baby JT are doing very well and home resting now. Below are a few pictures that I snapped on Thursday evening while at the hospital - I'm looking forward to getting more once they are settled at home :)

St. Louis Blues
No...not those St. Louis Blues. On 2/19/10 I attended a concert for a local artist named Pokey LaFarge, he and his band, the South City Three, play rag time blues in the tradition of Leadbelly. Their sound is unmistakeable and infectious and their look, well, it's totally unique and utterly dapper. Their most recent CD release, Riverboat Soul (available on PokeyLaFarge.net and Amazon.com) is a mainstay in my car and my iPod and I dare you to try and not tap your toes/snap your fingers along with the beat!
Playin in the band
I was so fortunate to have been included in a remarkable fundraiser for the World Food Program's Haiti Relief efforts on 1/31/10. This concert took place at Cicero's in Delmar and featured some very talented local bands. Here are just a few of the shots from that evening, the full set of photos is available for viewing on my Flickr page (http://www.flickr.com/photos/44564519@N00/).
